Flint was a very popular stone with our Stone Age ancestors. It was suitable for making fire, tools and weapons. In this workshop, you will make your own Stone Age knife from a flint blade, Stone Age glue and wood, modelled on a Neolithic pile dwelling knife.
The workshop begins with an introduction to the way of life of Stone Age people and their stone tools. Handouts such as flints and hand axes and blades made from them illustrate the topic. In the practical part, you will make your own Stone Age knife to take home with you.
