Stone Age people lived from gathering and hunting. They gathered plants and small creatures in groups of up to 20 people. They knew how to adapt to changing climatic conditions and develop appropriate hunting weapons and hunting strategies. What about your hunting skills? Test your marksmanship with the spear and the spear sling.
The workshop begins with a short introduction to the Stone Age way of life of hunter-gatherers. Some handouts will be provided. Afterwards you will learn how to shoot with a spear and spear sling behind the Stone Age workshop. Most of the programme takes place outside. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing. In heavy rain, you will engrave hunting scenes on slate slabs with flint stones. You can take the slates home with you.
