This tour focuses on Neanderthals, their appearance, their abilities and their way of life as hunters and gatherers. The myth of the “wild man” is countered with new scientific findings.
The tour begins in the foyer and is dedicated to the history of Neanderthal finds and their place in the development of mankind. Using selected exhibits, we talk about the Neanderthals' way of life as hunters and gatherers, their tool technology, diet and language skills. Handouts support the dialog during the tour and illustrate the narrative. The tour is also available in English and French for a small surcharge.
