The museum will be closed from 2 September 2024 to 24 September 2024 due to roof renovation work. Before and after this period, we can of course be visited as normal and the Neandertal will not be closed during this period either. We have summarised all the offers for you here.
Travel back to the Stone Age at the Neanderthal discovery site and get as close as you can to the world-famous find. You can find tickets in the online shop or at the temporary ticket office in front of the museum.
We are selling Flexi Tickets for the museum and the discovery site exclusively until the end of the renovation work. Your advantages: You save 10% compared to the already reduced normal online ticket price and can redeem the tickets flexibly until the end of the year.
During the renovation period, the Stone Age birthday parties ‘On the hunt’ and ‘Stone Age Olympics’ can take place as normal in the Stone Age workshop. All other programmes can of course still be booked, but only for the period before and after the renovation work.
On a guided tour of the site, you will travel through the exciting history of the Neandertal and to the place that changed human history forever. In the Ice Age Animal Park, you will gain exclusive insights into the flora and fauna of the Ice Age.
