On August 26, 2025, the Neanderthal Museum invites you to the neanderland MUSEUMSNACHT (museum night). We will be opening our doors between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. with free admission. On this evening, visitors can discover the permanent exhibition on the history of mankind, the special exhibition and the site where the first Neanderthal was found with the Höhlenblick tower.

The museum café, the neighboring Ristorante Gavi and the Neandertal Café No 1 also invite you to take a break.

Procedure
  • Normal admission prices apply from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Free admission to the Neanderthal Museum from 6 p.m. - no pre-registration required
    • Access to the permanent exhibition and the special exhibition “Stereotypical Neanderthal”
    • Visit to the discovery site with the Höhlenblick adventure tower (free ticket available at the museum box office)
    • Snacks and dinner in the museum café, Ristorante Gavi or Neandertal Café No 1
  • Museum night ends at 11 p.m.
